Nepal On My Plate At Bhansaghar Restaurant

I had heard and read about the beauty of Nepal and all those stories set against the backdrop of the Himalayas somehow felt incomplete without the mention of the country’s gastronomic history. The description of lean meat, chunky vegetables and pickled ingredients always, always, made my belly rumble. The craving/desire to have authentic Nepalese cuisine only doubled, thanks to theĀ stories and experiences of fellow travellers. They say that, where there is a will, there is a way. And my ‘I-Have-Gotta-Try-Nepalese-Cuisine’ persistence landed me at Bhansaghar on a fine Saturday afternoon. There was a slight nip in the air, winter making an announcement of its arrival in style. The Safdarjung Enclave market was buzzing – people (all decked-up) on their way to make the weekend legendary! And so were we!
